Vintage Estate Large English Ironstone Blue White Butter Dish, 12”
A very nice dish, versitile dish by the well known manufacturer and importer of wonderful contemporary collectibles, Seymour Mann Inc. It is sure to become one of our treasured collectibles in the future. The mark on the back states the name of the collection as "China Blue". The numbers on the bottom in roman numerals are-MCMXCVXI. I think this translates as 1999, but am not 100% sure of my translation. The dish measures aprox. 12"X7"X2". There are no chips or cracks. The background is not as yellowed as the pics show. The background is more of a grayed white.
There is some bu left flaws I it when it was manufactured. Very pretty dish
