Purchased over 10 years ago at a vintage select shop in Minami-Senba, Osaka.

This is a tool-style tote bag from "George Woodall & Sons," a company with a 140-year history founded in the 19th century in the UK.
Originally, they manufactured and sold wagon covers (canvas) and ropes (reins).
Even now, it's an active brand, though production is in small batches.

I was told it was an item from about 30 years ago when I bought it, so I've classified it as a '70s-'80s vintage piece.
It features "corner stitching," a traditional sewing method prioritizing strength, and "X reinforcement" on the handles.
Also, the thick thread is roughly sewn, making it a truly masculine sub-bag.

The brass hardware of the hook shows verdigris, which is synonymous with vintage items.
It had a certain atmosphere when I bought it, but it's finally reached its finished state.

Not recommended for those concerned about scratches or stains.
This is a rare gem that you won't easily find in vintage shops or on Mercari, etc.
